Three Auburn lawyers
We have three lawyers at our Auburn law office, all who have lifelong ties to the Auburn area.
Erin Riswold is a lawyer at Koons & Riswold. She has strong ties to the area, having grown up in the foothills. When she left for college, she stayed local, attending UC Davis. She subsequently attended law school at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, becoming Valedictorian along the way. Upon becoming a lawyer, she joined Ed Koons, whose small Auburn law firm was a perfect fit. When she is not in the office, she spoils her dogs and her garden.
Tim Riswold is a lawyer at Koons & Riswold. Tim grew up in Newcastle. Always wanting to work in Auburn as a lawyer, he was very fortunate to join Ed Koons. One of his proudest and most worthwhile achievements as an advocate came before he was even a lawyer: He somehow convinced his wife to attend law school with him. He attended UCLA for college graduating with highest honors, and went on the McGeorge School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class. His entire family has strong ties to the area. His dad taught for thirty years as a music teacher in Meadow Vista and Weimar.
Ed Koons has been a lawyer in Auburn for his entire career. As a lawyer, he has spent the last 40 years helping people with their legal issues by calmly counseling them, and passionately advocating for them. He is a former partner at Johanson, Koons, and Constantino. He branched out on his own in 2013, forming The Law Office of Edward C. Koons, which became Koons & Riswold in 2020.
